Owners Jaime Koons and Roberto De Jesus, longtime service industry professionals who went on to throw many underground open mic and art events in Bushwick, converted a former bar and nail salon into a unique experience. Jaime and Roberto are Bushwick residents with a combined experience of more than 25 years in the service industry. Before pursuing entrepreneurship, Roberto has been head bartender and manager of multiple locations. Jaime has been the GM of a myriad of Manhattan restaurants, bars and bakeries. “The idea for Secret Pour came from our love for art, films, and speakeasies” added De Jesus. “Of course, the actual bar will be open to the public, but our fun secret will be a nondescript doorway near the bar, opening up to a space that we call The Zelda Room.” Check out Secret Pour’s socials for stories posted daily.
